Phonics is fun!!

Our reading fluency goal for second grade is to be able to read 102 words, at second grade level, within one minute. Here are some things we are doing to be able to meet our goal.

 We are sequencing lines in a poem and practicing reading them fluently.

 We are typing sentences for our blog.



 We are reading words with special sounds like, short a , e , i ,o,u and oy, oi, ow, oo,ew, ou, ow and ar, ir, or, ur, er.

 We are practicing reading to a partner.

We are practicing reading words with the same ending sounds.

They rhyme!!
